Hellerup Chamber Music Society, just north of Copenhagen, has been in operation for 77 years and is one of Denmark’s oldest and preeminent music series. Each year, the Society presents six subscription concerts featuring some of the world’s most distinguished artists as well as a series of three children’s concerts that are designed to introduce the classical concert experience to young listeners. Among the distinguished artists and ensembles who have appeared in the series are Sir Andras Schiff, Quarteto Casals, Henning Kraggerud, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Fauré Quartet, Modigliani Quartet and Trio con Brio Copenhagen.
